How Acting got on the Mind

I started to get established a bit with my modeling in Minneapolis Minnesota. So i moved from Wisconsin to Minnesota and started working as a model and going to different events. I sent in my information to MTV and got picked up by them to do a TV Pilot. I was then flown out to NY to try out a new life in the modeling world there. After i flew back from the big apple a few months pasted and i got picked up on a TV Pilot called Big Shot Live and was flown out to California to film and model with Roxy. Even though the two shows i got picked up for didn't have much to do with acting, i realized modeling just wasn't the right fit for me anymore. I liked the filming because i felt like i got to be more myself and it was awesome! I thought maybe i should give acting a try but i knew i didn't want to learn acting in Minneapolis.... i wanted to learn it in Hollywood. So i saved for six months and drove out to California to learn the acting industry...with a million other people with the same idea

Before the Dream of Acting...

I started in modeling because people would tell me i was pretty. Not knowing that these strangers that told me i should model was just after my money. I ran into scams paying over two grand at John Casablanca's, paying modeling consultants who promised to get me work when they didn't even get me one audition. I paid agencies so then i could be represented by them. I even believed people that said they were professional photographers but in reality they just wanted to see me in skimpy clothing.

Going through this was hard because i worked for the money i spent and it was very emotional when finding out everything I've done was all lies and scams. However, I did learn that the world isn't a perfect place and you can't trust every person you meet, you need to do research.

I will pass on the information I have gathered:

• A real established agency will not ask for any money but a percentage of the work they get you
• Do your research on photographers and ask other people who have shot with them
• Don't pay any company that says they can make you a star or model because in reality they really can't

Two years of struggles of going through every scam possible i did finally start getting real modeling jobs. I was very determined and didn't want to give up until i became a model. Months and months of tears I am surprised i even kept with the goal. My determination did pay off and I got to do some cool gigs. Resume is listed below:
